    -Wet Weather coming for SoCal-

    Wet weather is coming for southern California. The ridge of high pressure which has been around for a weeks is moving on, opening the door for some wet weather. Here is the link to the National Weather Service in San Diego’s weather blog

    According to the National Weather Service this next week is going to shape up like January of 1995. If you are interested you can read about that event here:

    More rain and snow is on the way to southern California. The national weather service says there is a chance next week of receiving multiple days of rain and snow for the higher terrain. Here is a link to the forecast.

    -First Snow for San Diego-

    We got our first snow of the year for San Diego county today. It is snowing above 4000 feet. Hopefully tomorrow I wil be able to get out and see it!

    This past Friday the high country received the first snow of the season! Hopefully this will be a wet winter and we will have many more similar days in the near future.

    The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm region for the San Diego Mountains.  LINK.

    I am excited to head up there this weekend to the see how much snow has fallen. More to follow.

    Well the first part of the storm is hit the county yesterday with snow in the local mountains.  They could potentially get 15 inches before the storm is over.  Here is a picture from the HPWREN cam on Monument Peak:

    The preliminary weather report says possible snow above 4000 feet by the end of next Tuesday. Here is a link to the point forecast for Cuyamaca Peak

    If this storm does pan out I will hopefully be able to get out and go hiking in the first snow storm of the season.
